Second Annual Hugh A Campbell Memorial Run

8K (5 Miles)

Wednesday, August 6, 2014  (Evening Run)

 

Start Time:

6:00 pm 

Registration:

4:45 pm until race time at the Prince Edward Lodge on the Prince Town Road

2 miles off highway two at Summerfield Church

Fee:

$10 per person or $20 per family

Course

Description:

The course will be run on the Prince Town Road which is a dirt road with some nice little hills and a Heritage road like the Kerrytown road which is flat , it is an out and back course.

Other Notes:

 This run is a Memorial run in remembrance of Hugh Campbell who was a runner back in the thirties and forties on PEI and throughout the Maritimes his specialty was 5 mile races where he competed and won several races through out the the Maritimes . There will be awards and refreshments at the lodge following the race.

 

 Hugh A. Campbell was a middle distance runner in the early twenties and the early thirties.
